FAQs
What types of integrations have you done?
We’ve done a lot of integrations, including AWS, WordPress, SalesForce, NetSuite, Keap (Infusionsoft), Click Funnels, APL, Kajabi, InsideSales, Drupal, and many more. If the system you want to integrate with isn’t on this list, that’s okay — we’re always up for learning new tricks. The first thing we’ll want to know is if the system you want us to integrate with has an API. If not, we’ll need to see if we can access the database directly, or if there is an option for exporting/importing a file with the data. While sadly not all systems can be integrated with Keap, client requests go a long way and we’re happy to work with other developers to make integrations happen.
What is an API and why do I need it?
API stands for Application Programming Interface and is what makes add-on apps or plugins possible. An API is a gateway that allows direct access proprietary software so we can add programming of our own. Keap’s API allows us to read and write data and to perform most of the same actions you can do when you log in to Keap. When we pair that with the API for another program, we can make the two talk to one another. This is what we call integration.
What is this project going to cost me?
Our estimates are based on our hourly rate, guided by our experience with similar projects. Our estimate will be a range based on the scope you outline for us. The more complex the project, the wider this range will be as the possibility of running into contingencies is higher. A relatively straightforward integration job usually takes around 25 hours. If your project is particularly complex, risky, or full of unknowns, we recommend beginning with a discovery or proof of concept project (typically around $2000) so that we can more accurately estimate the full project.
How long will it take to complete my project?
Quick completion of projects depends on good preparation, excellent communication, and clear focus. Our projects have three main phases: preparation, programming, and testing/finishing; the first and last phases often take more time than the middle. You can help expedite your project by ensuring that we have all the needed information, credentials, and materials before we begin programming, and by being readily available to provide feedback during the testing/finishing phase. A straightforward integration typically can be completed within two weeks; complex projects may take several months.
