Pocket Developer FAQs
The Pocket Developer plug-ins are code that sit on your server. When you purchase, the installer asks for your FTP credentials and Infusionsoft API key and pre-configures and installs everything you need.
The requirements are pretty minimal. You just need to be running PHP 5.3 or higher.
We are working on a new and improved version of our portal. The new portal will notify you when updates are available, what has changed and give you the opportunity to download the update, if you are eligible.
One of the most powerful features of Pocket Developer is it can pull any field from any table. It doesn’t matter if there is more than one Opportunity, Order, Invoice, Appointment, Referral, either.
This is something only Pocket Developer and a real Developer can do. The awesome sauce that makes this possible is called Advanced Merge Field Notation.
We developed Advanced Merge Field Notation so we could find, update, delete and merge specific information from a specific record or set of records. It does other things as well, like count the number of records that meet the filter criteria, check if a field is empty, etc.
You can read all about Advanced Merge Field Notation here:
The major benefits of Advanced Merge Field Notation are:
– it saves custom fields – you can now store and merge in/from the original table
– it saves time – you can create complex campaigns, in half the time, with less to maintain or break
– it saves money – you can do hundreds of things you used to have to hire a developer to do, without knowing any code
– you look like a genius – everyone else is going to be wondering how you did that
Not a lick. Pocket Developer’s configuration and installation is totally plug-and-play. You’ll be up and running in minutes.
We would love to. We have been developing with Pocket Developer internally for a long time. Chances are good we have already used our plug-ins to solve a similar problem.
Just schedule an online meeting and tell us what you are trying to do. We would love to help you figure out the best way to get it done.
Custom Development FAQs
There are three things you can do to keep your cost as low as possible. First is to be very explicit in what you want. If you need us to help you define that, we can do that. But the more you do on the front end to get clear on the project, the less cost on the backend. Second is to avoid the dreaded scope creep. Stick to the project scope. Changes are expensive. Better to plan up front and stick to the plan. Third is to pay us by check, ACH or Intuit Payment Network. Eliminating those pesky credit card fees helps us keep costs reasonable for everyone.
If you can dream it, we can do it. We can take the smallest project to the largest. The rule of thumb is when you find yourself wanting Infusionsoft to do something it won’t, submit a request and see if we can help. A lot of times, you will be surprised to find out the solution was not as difficult or costly as you assumed.
Absolutely. The Infusionsoft API is as handy as a pocket on a shirt and one of the things it is handiest for is getting information back and forth between different applications.
Ummm … I won’t pick up a snake or wrestle an alligator. Oh, you didn’t mean that. Well, there are probably a few but I can’t think of them off the top of my head. So, if you want to find out if we will or won’t, can or can’t … submit your request and we will tell you straight up if it isn’t in our wheelhouse.
Your Project Manager is your first point of contact. It is the Project Manager’s job to work on your behalf and ensure that we deliver exactly what we said we would. If, for some reason, your person is unable to resolve your issue, our founder’s direct line is (803) 281-0455.
So long as we all stick to the original plan, the price quoted is all you pay.
For custom development, we accept checks, ACH, Intuit Payment Network (IPN), Paypal, Stripe, American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Our preference, however, is Intuit Payment Network or ACH. We pass on a 3% credit card processing fee if you choose to use a payment method other than check, ACH or IPN.
For Pocket Developer plug-ins for Infusionsoft, we use Stripe.
