Or as we say around here, it is the “engine” that powers the Well-Oiled Machine. It combines the power of many different systems into one. Some of the main features of Infusionsoft include:
- CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
- Email Marketing (does the job of an Aweber or Mail Chimp)
- Ecommerce (allows you to process payments through your website)
- Sales Pipeline Management
- Referral/Affiliate Program Management
- Automated Marketing
- Lead Scoring
- And more…
If you want to harness the power of marketing automation for your small business then I know of no better platform to use than Infusionsoft. I’ve looked high and low and nothing else comes close.
That said, Infusionsoft is not the right solution for every small business. That’s why it’s important to get clear about what you are looking for before making a decision.
5 Questions to Determine If Infusionsoft is Right for You
If you’re wondering if Infusionsoft is right for your business, let me ask you some questions:
- Are you just looking for software that will run automated email marketing campaigns?
If you are, then Infusionsoft is probably overkill for you because it’s so much more than an email marketing system. If this is all you want to do then you should consider Aweber ($19/month) or Mail Chimp (free for the first 2,000 contacts) instead.
- Do you do less than $4,500 a month in sales?
If the answer is yes then you’re probably too small for Infusionsoft. You can expect to pay around $2,000 to get started with Infusionsoft plus around $300 a month. It is going to be difficult to get any ROI on Infusionsoft until you get to at least $50,000 – $100,000/year in revenue.
- Are you willing to take the time to learn the software?
Let me be clear about one thing: there is a steep learning curve when it comes to Infusionsoft. This is not a program you can just plug in and play after watching a few tutorial videos. It takes time to learn the complexities of the program. To get ROI on Infusionsoft, you will either need to devote a lot of time to learning it and implementing it or hire a consultant.
- How important is automation to you?
If the idea that $1 invested in automation brings 4 buddies back with it gets you totally jazzed, then Infusionsoft is probably right for you. If you’re continually figuring out ways to eliminate, automate and delegate tasks then you’re going to love Infusionsoft. (I’ll be honest, at first it may be a love/hate relationship… but after you get past the initial learning curve you’ll love it!).
- Infusionsoft doesn’t do everything out of the box… Are you OK with that?
Like I said, no other software currently comes close to rivaling Infusionsoft’s power. But that doesn’t mean it can do everything. The good news is you can make Infusionsoft do just about anything you can dream of through the Infusionsoft API and custom development.
If you want to get serious about building a Well-Oiled Machine, then you will need some type of core tool to help manage all your sub-systems. And Infusionsoft is our primary tool for building small businesses that run like clockwork.
